On our last night in Amsterdam, we wanted a chill out spot where we could have a decent enough meal with music and just generally hang out. Behold, Bar Bocas, a place that ticked all the boxes!
We took my nieces for a weekend in Dam to see the Christmas markets and what not. After being tourists and having a truly fab afternoon tea at The Duchess marking the Matriarch’s anniversary, we the adults, were ready for adult time and drinks lol!
Bocas is a bar that encourages you to eat and drink as much as you may wish all the while playing some really good music, and, you are expected to dance too, after the lights are dimmed! I mean what is not to love eh? It’s a VIBE and we were here for ALL of IT.
We decided to have a platter to share. I particularly like that you get to pick what you want on the platter which means that there is going to be something for everyone. Our platter had steak slices, mackerel, fish cake, cheese, walnuts, chicken. Phew! Like I said, full platter people! We also had sandwiches made from sourdough bread, calamari and fries
all washed down with some darn good white wine.
We ate, sang, danced and made merry! Yes, we are counting down to Christmas!
