Day two in these Roma streets and it is raining! Never mind we outchea still, rain or not ha! We brunched today and boi 🥰! So, it is well known that I have a thing for foie grais yes? the same can be said for truffles! Ouu…I love me some truffles and whenever it is on a menu, I be like yes please!! #shamless 😀
Any ho’, we brunched at Tartufi & friends which is a truffle lounge bistro, here, truffle reigns supreme! These cats create some really fantastic dishes with truffle, I was not ready! Every possible dish has a truffle element and I am here for it. The menu had so M A N Y options 🧐! The bread

you are offered with truffle oil and vinegar does nothing but whet your appetite further, whilst you peruse the menu and make some very important decisions! We sampled the pan brioche, scrambled egg and truffle caviar, foie gras escalope, cherries and amaretti, and the tagliolini with truffle.

I mean do you see these dishes? Each dish tasted divine! Flavourful and flavoursome…. OMD, I was not prepared for the richness jeez! Then came the gelato – vanilla ice cream, pine nuts, dried figs ad truffle honey! accompanied by a delicious muscat pudding wine.

Talk about a popping my gelato cherry in an epic way! Tartuffi, I have a new found respect for truffle and my taste buds are forever changed.
