The food at Lobster Alive is so good, we had to experience it TWICE! Why? Because when you are in the Caribbean, fresh sea food and sunset dining is a must okay? Here we are, nine days into what has been an amazing birthday holiday.. Oh wait.. rewind….. So, I chose to usher in my fortieth trip around the sun in the beautiful Barbados, covid be damned! But on the real though, being on the Island for my birthday is something I have manifested for 2 years pre-covid ha! My people were up for my shenanigans and came along! And on the fifth of February, with my loved ones, I had a party! We had fantastic four course dinner at pureocean restaurant, danced and celebrated not just my birthday, but celebrated being able to celebrate you know? Surviving and thriving despite the pandemic, in good health, hopeful and peace of mind…It was splendid. Spending quality time with my people in the sun was exactly what my soul needed and I am ever so thankful.

Anyway, here we were on day nine and we decided to go have some Lobster as it came highly recommended by a couple who happened to share our catamaran with us two days ago. We decided sunset dinner on the beach was the best way to experience it, especially, as the restaurant had tables on the beach and sea front views. The menu here is pretty simple with starters, salads, mains, enders, puddings and of course ‘live from the tank’ aka Lobsters. The lobsters are served via weight, and Caribbean lobsters are quite meaty. Sizes are small, medium and large. Each come with a helping of salad and rice or chips.
We started with crab backs, rolls, samosa’s and of course bread as starters. There is just something about eating out in the open, on the beach and fresh sea food… LUSH!

As there were six of us for dinner, we decided to have the platter – the big lobster central platter. It was six pounds of lobster to share served with salad, rice or chips! When I tell you it was good? It was finger licking good okay!

Pudding was a home made chocolate cake and OMD!!!!

I particularly loved how the lamps were lit once the sun went down, the view of the sky and the beach front was just so gorgeous! Atmosphere is a 10/10 for me! and the live band was fantastic!

Our second time round was for lunch, we got to see the residents of ‘the tank’ and the ‘live’ experience 😱

Man like Sheldon was in his full element.
We opted for the platter again to be shared between four of us and decided to have even more Lobster. I did say that the Lobster was good right? We each had a pound and a half of Lobster, caprese salad and chips! You could say we went all IN and we have no regrets 😋

In sum, Lobster Alive is a MUST when you are in sunny Barbados!
Cheers
