Discovering Tapas Tia Rosa during my ‘unplanned’ long weekend in Amsterdam last June was a delight. I say unplanned because I really had no business being in Dam. Neal had a conference and I tagged along because why not? Anyway, after checking into our fave hotel, hotel Esthera, we decided to make most of the sunny day and take a wander. Dam is gorgeous in the summer I tell you. When we take a wander, it is like the walking the ‘yellow brick road’ without a defined destination with happy spotting and stopping along the way

Apologies, I digress, where was I? ahh yes, Tapas Tia Rosa, located at Reguliersgratcht (considered to be one of the beautiful canals in Dam) could not be any more Spanish than it was from the décor to staff and the food..

Service was kinda slow and this could have been because it is was not full-service hour. Plus there appeared to be only like 2 members of staff (which we could see). Nonetheless we got around to placing our orders and food did not disappoint.

We tried a selection of dishes – chicken, beef, croquet, which we washed down with wine after trying some local Ale.

These dishes were colourful as they were flavoursome. Just perfect for the sunny weather, not to heavy to make you feel like you just stuffed your face but just enough you know? loved it!Okay Dam, you are giving me the right vibes! The mini cupid on the wine was a nice touch.

Cheers
